saturn's moon lapetus

manu [yea, he's got a blog but i ain't linking him because he has never posted anything beyond that 2nd article] has been reading these findings of private scientists' who refute the so-called standard recognitions with their bizarre finding and it concerns me that one day when he will grow old when he will make no-sense with his talks to people who do not read such stuff. he would think they are so ignorant, thus stupid [yea, that how we all humans are] and they will think that he has grown old. i on the other part would have seen it all would feel bad.

so coming back from the pessimistic frame of mind to the more scientific [yes yes yes, i don't always have girls, on my mind, to write about ;) :p] things. he told me about this guy [scientist] [his name is richard c hogaland] whose team has been researching on a moon of planet saturn called lapetus. a guy called arthur c. clark [a science fiction writer] has written a book about a planet size space-ship decades back. the surprising thing about this is that this moon resembles his fiction too much. even NASA has to acknowledge this team's some small partial findings as correct. now these people themselves are surprised as to how clark can think about true fiction. also, these people believe the moon is not a planetary body at all, it is actually something else [maybe a spaceship - i am still in process of reading the material] and they have presented numerous facts that support their conviction.

Why Mozilla Firefox is better than Microsoft Internet Explorer?

[all the links below would open in new windows, so you can click them bindaas]

i can't ask you people to switch to Linux from MS-Windows becasue 1, it won't be a comfortable swichover and 2, Linux [flavour - Fedora] still doesn't have that user-friendly an interface. But you can ofcourse switch from Microsoft's Internet Explorer to Mozilla Firefox web-browser.

i have written about this product earlier and I am writing this again because I downloaded the latest release yesterday [after some delay] and it cemented my belief that it is certainly much much better than Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

reasons i like Firefox over IE:-

1. the size - if you want to download a new released version of IE, then the installation file would never be less than 50 MBs. It would take atleast 1.5 hours on my home-connection with is actually airtel broadband [pretty satisfactory speed]. latest firefox is 5 MBs [just 10% the size that of IE - won't take more than 10 minutes to download]. even the security patches released for IE are more than 5 MBs [not a very pleasing situation]

2. tabbed browsing feature - you won't have to open a 100 windows for browsing as many websites. you can open a new tab in the same window in which you can open another website. you have to try it to feel the comfort that it provides.

3. integrated RSS facility - you can subscribe to all those websites which offer their content to be syndicated with a single click, saving it as your bookmark. all of you who use RSS will find it hugely time and effort-saving.

4. integrated google search - lots of ease for google.com search buffs. you don't have to go to google.com and then search for john keats' poetry or have to download and install google's toolbar. firefox comes with integrated search boxes that can search in yahoo!, amazon, ebay etc.

do try it [you can anytimes down load it from Mozilla Firefox's website or through the download button on my side bar below --->]

perfect silicon breasts and abhi bachchan's success - all fake

after the hugely popular demand :p to write about my first topic of intent for writing in the previous post, i googled for the definition of the implants for perfect breasts. i shall tell about the background of this almost socially enlightening event before embarking over the whole story. actually sometimes back there was this article in TOI regarding this metal [called silicon] which resembles gold in its color but renders much more attraction to the female form :D so, in this article, they have quoted this some world's number one cosmetologist or whatever they call this kind of doctor who plays with breasts to create more perfect breasts. and these TOI guys quoted him where he said something about the bounce, the form, the perkiness, the fall and what not. :D

but i had something else on my mind today. skirts :D yea, you heard it right. i mean i don't mind the length but sometimes it is tad embarrassing to look at those unending legs and at the same time think that she is just a kid [although i have met with revolt from both the genders who claimed to me that 16, or 17 or 18 is not a kiddish age nowdays]

now that i have started, i shall write about the other two topics too

abhi bachchan, i mean, delhi times, a few weeks back, reported that abhishek bachchan has record 19 flops to his name. and couple of days back they printed results of a poll which showed he is the most good looking dude popular with girls for the year 2005. i mean there are other much talented and much much more talented hunks out there who have seen near oblivion after giving just 2 flops or so [for example - arjun rampal]. and this guy has got another mutiple chances after 19 flunks just because he has got a megastar father. i mean if half of those many number of chances are given to a above-poor like me, i could have cracked IIMA too :p

and last, but not the least, a historical landmark in that hair-stylist's life, when he touched my hairs. almost enthralled, he said "aapne aajtak kabi dhang se baal nai kataye kya" :D i could feel his excitement which was so much in contrast with my pop's reaction "atleast one should look a bit better"

:D

things on my mind

I wanted to write about:-

1. silicon implants ;)
2. abhishek bachchan
3. my new hair-cut :D

but somehow suddenly i ain't very inclined towards writing [typing] anything. i feel like sleeping.

maybe later on

(c) drugs that might be harmful

This is again in the series of those drug-awareness posts. i don't know if it is much popular a drug, especially in here, but if you have been through any untidiness becasue of bextra then you might consider contacting someone as bextra lawyers

(c) ideas

14th feb is coming near and people are scrambling for ideas.

valentine day flowers is one of the evergreen [in fact everred] options.

talking tennis

while fighting over making each other understand the philosophies of life, we often forget than you can't really enjoy the heavenly rajma-chawal that mom packed because you were again fighting on the philosophy of life over that hot cup of tomato soup that burnt your tounge. :(

steffi graf wasn't german she was greek and she wasn't a tennis player she was a mythological character [i mean you can't not mention her when talking about tennis]

so, talk tennis, shall we? i think kim clijsters is one smooth operator. i mean, i can see you people rolling eyes but really she isn't a bomb, is she? but she still looks hot, i mean she plays good. :D

about anger and new introductions

this post is in honour of somebody, somebody who is angry [justifiable or not is still a subject matter to debate]. but the point is that the person is angry. and i am the reason for the anger.

you know what the problem with anger is? it is that it takes a moment to come and go but it damages a lot within that time-frame.

and i am always debating myself about the content that i want to have on this blog. i went candid with this thing once and it didn't cause anything which could have been a reason to rejoice.

but i am going to introduce some SEO techniques to this blog. let us see how it helps, if at all.

the dilemma of making that move

it is like you are waiting for it and you are in a dilemma of making a move or not. you don't want it to not-happen but you don't want to rush it. you can feel the rush inside you. you fidget and you feel the creepy uneasiness.

you know you have to be confident and she won't mind. ;)

but you are not sure about it, you can see the moment coming but you are not able to comprehend when and how. you think it would come [so much so that you wish that it would come]. but that's the best part becasue you can see the ultimate satisfaction that it would bring to you. you will feel vindicated and you will be at peace.

now, damn whatever would she [the new hot joinee in the next cubicle] think, just go relieve yourself of the nature's call even if immediately after lunch :D

(c) ajeeb

if a robber enters your home and falls upon a butcher's knife and cuts himself and then sues you and even wins the case, what would you say? i heard that in a hollywood movie and but saw it for real on that medicine side-effects related website in their new york personal injury section.

(c) old indian concept

precious metal financing used to be in vogue very early in our society where knocked done and out people went to those sahukars with their family-jewelry to take some loan against. In US precious metal financing is a full-fledged business. i guess we are not inspiring them in just meditation and yoga and ayurveda.

(c) diamonds make holes in pockets forever :D

diamonds look so cool on appropriate looking wrists and bodies. but they sure make a huge dent in your pockets. i was told this by my friend who jut had a good pay-hike but all the impact was easily cushioned by his wife's demand of diamond bracelets.

(c) that one day in an year

i think that valentines-day-business has boomed in india in last few years. i mean there never used to be such hype earlier. i went to this huge archies shop in this new mall nearby and saw them selling valentines day gift baskets which had a mark of 1200 bucks on it. the price is scandalous. i never knew, valentines day makes people spend such money.

(c) a movie

there are some things in the american culture which would be shocking here in india, no matter what the socio-economic status be. firstly, dating. i mean it is being accepted widely here but no parent would mind if their child is 24 and havent dated ever. and secondly, getting out of your parent's house. i mean people don't even think that they have to have their own house in there. i was checking out some upcoming movies and saw this interesting plot about failure to launch movie.

please visit my other blog

injustice

i should not be writing this, because i am not supposed to write this because i am trying to vent the feeling of heaviness that dawns upon you when someone showers full measure of one's anger on you. it would be injustice to the person who was angry and to the feeling that should have lingered within me and served it purpose of inflicting uneasiness on me.

i just did a huge sigh

i am crappy

damn! why am i making this one sound like that old one

what do you say? :D:D

08 January 2006

someone

someone described someone on his blog which made me recall [is recalling = missing?] someone

it is so cold in delhi nowdays. i am absolutely loving it and it is not like when there is huge fog throughout the day [although i don't hate even that] but i love the sunshine, and it is cold even when the sun is shining. it is lovely out here. i love this place.

i will from now make easier for all you lovely people to have a look on the commercial posts in my blog. all those posts which have their titles starting with a (c) are commerical posts :D

(c) adverse side effects

this post in another one in the series of my browsing that website which informs about the adverse side-effects.

i don't really know what this medicine is used for but anyhow it tells us about accutane side effects.

(c) precious metals

i dint know that platinum is double the rate that of gold, that is too expensive, isnt it?

also, palladium is another metal which is half as expensive as gold. that means, in our hindi terminology, platinum would roughly be around 10,000 bucks for a tola and palladium would be around 2,500 bucks for same amount. i don't know if you can find jewelry made of these metals but there are some good places to find precious metals quotes.

(c) another kind of jewelry

i am in mood of looking wikipedia at this moment.

having said that, can someone tell me if the pearls are manufactured in the same way we used to hear when we were kids; that is, on a full-moon night, when a drop of fresh rain-water falls into a shell, it transforms into a pearl :p

but, anyways, i can't ever decide if i like pearl jewelry or not.

4 questions

the next day [or week maybe] after you have formally declared your consent for getting into a committed relationship, the perfect one enters into your life...

1. does this happens?
2. has this happen to you ever?
3. can it happen? if it can then do you carry on with the earlier person becasue you don't want to break heart or you fear that there might come someone, who is even perfecter, the very next day [or week]?

now the most important question number
4. what do the other person do who knows that you feel that the person is the perfect one but don't [or maybe won't] admit (and this person do not know the answer - which might be answered by the questions above)?
just think that late comers = loosers? :-/

time for change

when i closed down my last blog i thought i won't start a new one

when i started a new one i thought i won't post melancholic texts

i guess i can't remain from being stirred

but i guess i got to make some important strategic changes to my current blog [after super-human suggestion by prashant]

i have to mark all my technical/commercial posts [ofcourse, i can't deny myself dollars] by say an asterix or something... i will do something about it.

and i will try not let the percentage of the actual posts go down.

04 January 2006

love me you all, don't you?

someone suggested [read *made me*] use google-talk ;) [and i am loving it *spoken in that absolutely irritating but cute mcdonaldish style*]

but was a nice find [well, now you have to decide if i am talking about the person who introduced me or the web application :p]

but the flip-side is that the person can't use google talk all the time [i mean if you want to use google talk and your office net admin has blocked all instant messenger applications and you don't want to take the beautiful suggestion i gave earlier, then...?]

then all you sweeties [ok ok bhai log too] check this place [absolute bliss for google-talk users] out and come back to me with your all beautiful feedbacks [and err... questions] :D:D:D

02 January 2006

happy new year 2006

so people

after last 4 commercial posts [yea year that's non-sensical term but still please don't ask me the reason to use it or the context or the meaning] here comes my first post in the new year 2006.

first of all

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2006

to all you beautiful people

hope you all had some awesome party-time. if not, then resolve [ahem ahem :p] alongwith me to have some huge party time this year.

i will try to be
more merrier, dirtier,
mean and a huge
drunkard this year :D:D:D

[it rhymes too ;) :D]

01 January 2006

new year presents

what could be the best new year gift[s]?

i guess i can not give cheap flowers [although i gifted cousin didi some most beautiful roses today]. and teddy toys are the most overrated gifts. clothes and shoes are subject to individual tastes. and come on, jewelry is out of question. then what are we left with?

daaru :D :D :D

the other form of marketing

you know what? most of the biggest book stores in US are closing down. why? because online book buying is catching up. but this is sad. browsing books manually, and then buying books is so nice. one day not far from now, even other things which we can’t think of buying online would be sold in this fashion only. such is the power of internet marketing.

gold is old

the last time I mentioned gold jewelry, I met with varied online and offline reactions and somehow [although it was not as surprising] i felt that gold is a traditional favorite but silver is beating it on the modernistic front

silver shining

why in the world would you want to bother yourself with the silver prices? I won’t but then why am I discussing this? does this have something to do with what I was talking about gold?

bizzare drugs

have you seen that birth control patch? that is so bizaare an item but it seems so convenient. yea yea people I know what crazy thing I am writing about but this is again in the series of those drugs wich have fatal side-effect and there are special Ortho Evra Attorneys in US to sue them, lol. can you believe it? bizaare drugs with bizaare side-effect…
