the movies
two very special hindi movies that have been treated very differently are:-
jo jeeta wohi sikander [an aamir khan gem]
kabhi haan kabhi naa [a shahrukh khan special]
both have amazing music to their credit
i was just watching jo jeeta wohi sikandar while having my dinner. this movie has a raw quality about itself which makes your heart skip a beat, make you laugh and be nostalgic. best part being the relationship between the two brothers and the race at the end.
kabhi haan kabhi naa, a srk movie, i love it because of the special ending that it has. the protagonist is a loser, total loser - loser at home, loser at school, at love. but he is better than anyone in his own special way.
it is really great on part of bollywood to create these gems in between all the usual crap.

Dude.. firstly I wonder why you watching these old flicks when you have a new one being released every other friday...
Secondly there sure is some nostalgia while watching these old flicks.. My heart sure skips a beat everytime I hear the song, 'Pehla nasha'
And yeh bollywood is doing really good, with SRK and likes being a hit in Europe.. They sure have made a major contribution to the 'India Shining' factor.
