taka tak

the other day i saw this adv on tv. it was some product copied from "Kurkure", a product by same American brand which owns "Lays", and everyone knows what kind of money we spend on Lays products(read potato chips) as compared to all other chips brands taken together. but this product was from Haldiram camp so i was kinda excited about it; i always somehow see potential in Haldiram to beat any so-called world-beating brand in chatpata products, atleast in India. So i had this Taka tak(name of this Haldiram thingy - a Kurkure competitor) at the back of my mind since. Today I saw a pack hanging in the basket of the shopkeeper from whom i gen buy chips. And after finishing off the pack i thought about following points which might beat Kurkure on Haldiram's home-turf :-

1. The packet was not as easy to open (i guess they shld try to make it a pleasurable experience, throughout, for the consumer who is trying a new product when there is already a much-established and very quality product available -- instant liking)

2. I bought it cuz i was keen as it was on my mind (what i have noticed about Lays is that the availability is already on high before i see the adv of any newly launched flavor on the tv - and also it is available with virtually 'every' shop -- in front of all eyes)

3. It seem that it was expensive than Kurkure (alto i dint note down or literally compared the exact price-quantity ratio of the two products but i still remember when Kurkure was launched, they pitched it on the very inexpensive side - i ate my 1st Kurkure pack for free in promotional campaign, so i think Takatak should be very competitively priced -- india is v price-sensitive)

...may the best one wins :D
