the love and its riders

i have always loved stories which have delhi in their background

and as you all might be knowing, i am reading khushwant singh's delhi these days. i completed a very solemn sounding chapter today. it was mostly a collection of supposed monologues by bahadur shah zafar and nihal singh. it is amazing to know how beautiful has delhi always been and moreover how rich has been its history and after all that how many times has it been attacked, exploited, and even razed to near-ashes. but this beautiful place has never given to total annihilation.

the next book on my agenda is "the company of women" by khushwant singh, again ;) [i was never really inclined to read khushwant singh but after reading the way he describes women through his writings, i really can't give up on his most controversial piece ;)]

btw, the plan of river-rafting in rishikesh has been postponed due to incessant rains.
